The news around the COVID-19 outbreak is constantly changing, but information about food safety and how to keep yourself healthy is crucial right now. Here is a comprehensive list on the foods you should be stocking up on during this period of social distancing, as well as information about your local grocery stores’ changing hours, an explanation of “no-contact delivery,” and a guide on how to help your community and its businesses throughout closures.

Domino's will be donating roughly 10 million slices of pizza to those who need it, amid the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a press release.

The initiative is called Feed The Need and involves a partnership between Domino's and its franchisees. Starting this week, Domino's franchisees will be donating pizza to hospitals and medical centers, students and their families, health departments, grocery stores, and more as they see fit.

As Domino's pointed out in its press release, franchisees know their communities best, so they'll choose where exactly this pizza goes and who it will benefit. All of its more than 6,000 locations are expected to join the effort.

"We have a long history of feeding people during times of crisis and uncertainty. When we were looking at how we could help, we knew we could use the reach of our national brand to make a difference in thousands of local neighborhoods," said Domino's CEO and president of the Americas Russell Weiner: "We have franchisees and company-owned stores all over the country already doing amazing work in their communities and we know that by amplifying those efforts together we will be able to help even more people who are struggling right now."

In addition, many franchisees have committed to donating thousands of additional pizzas as well as those provided by Domino's. Other franchisees have committed to weekly giveaways and other good deeds. Domino's will be highlighting some of these inspirational stories on its blog in the coming weeks.
