A lot of us are probably just counting down until the end of this stressful year, but before we get to 2021, there is one thing to look forward to. (Yep, just one thing.) This winter, Mariah Carey is getting a Christmas special that will stream on Apple TV+. Sure, that’s three months away, but time has been confusing this year, anyway. Take the positive news and put “All I Want for Christmas Is You” on repeat now.

The special will be called Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, and according to an Apple TV+’s press release, it will feature “a star-studded lineup of surprise guest appearances.” The show will combine music, dance, and animation and be “driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together.” A premiere date hasn’t been released yet, but it will arrive this “holiday season.”

Carey tweeted about the news herself and broke one of her own rules in the process.

“If you know me, you know I refuse to talk about Christmas before it's even fall,” she wrote, “but I am SO excited for this @AppleTV special that I'll make an exception today only!”

Carey is responsible for one of the most beloved Christmas songs of all time and released an iconic Christmas album 26 years ago, so it’s only right that she gets her own special. Sure, she did her holiday-themed Las Vegas residency and a holiday tour, but now everyone will get to check out the show from their own homes. Now, if they could just give us an exact premiere date and a hint at some of the special guests. We're hoping for J. Lo.
