At any given time, I’m likely writing, shopping, or writing about shopping. And one store I’m always scouring for both professional and, if I’m being honest, personal reasons is Nordstrom.
While the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will always have my heart — I have fond memories of shopping it every year as a kid — the Fall Sale is really making me swoon. Flooded with more than 28,000 items up to 50 percent off, it’s got everything my beauty-buying and fashion-doting self could want: designer lipsticks from Yves Saint Laurent and Armani Beauty and pilates-perfect leggings from celeb-worn brand Alo Yoga, plus Ugg slippers and “sumptuous” cashmere sweaters.
I’ve done my due diligence and have come to the conclusion that these are the 10 best deals to purchase before the sale ends on Monday, November 6. The best part is that prices start at $7.

I’ve always enjoyed snuggling into a warm sweater, especially since I grew up in Chicago with bitterly cold winters. It’s thanks to that and my expertise as a shopping writer that I’ve since learned how to spot a good one.
This Nordstrom crewneck sweater, for example, is available in 14 colors, comes in sizes XXS to XXL, and above all, is made from 100 percent cashmere. Reduced to $110, the sweater is a “beautiful everyday basic,” according to one shopper, and it “fits great and wears perfectly with jeans,” a second person noted. Also, the scooped neckline and the overall plainness are timeless, so I don’t see myself getting sick of it, really ever. And considering I’ve seen similar cashmere sweaters in the thousand-dollar price range, I’m not dropping the ball on this one.

I never feel like I can wear red lipstick in the summer, but, boy do I love myself one in the fall and winter. It just feels so right: The crunchy leaves, juicy apples, and candy canes all match, getting me in the fall and holiday spirit. And after doing my research, I’ve got my eyes locked on this stunningly vivid one from Armani Beauty.
Marked down to $32, it’s more of a pure red color, rather than a berry-like shade à la this YSL lipstick (which I’m also obsessed with), and the formula has a matte finish, which will save my long hair from getting stuck to my lips when talking and socializing. I also think it’d make a great gift for a white elephant exchange, as it’s a designer item and not overly expensive.

I’m also digging these red Alo Yoga leggings and this faux fur claw clip for my trips to the pilates studio, plus these Tasman LTA Slippers from Ugg — another celebrity-worn brand — for a quick slip-on style after my workouts. I’m also always in need of new eyebrow products since I’m constantly trying to make mine look fuller.
