37th annual Albuquerque Flamenco Festival underway

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Friday marked the first day of the 37th annual Flamenco Festival in Albuquerque. The event is the oldest flamenco festival outside of Spain. This year’s festival will include 20 performances and over 60 workshops.

13 performance companies based around the world are also scheduled to perform. The festival will go through next Saturday at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and Rodey Theatre at the University of New Mexico.
