Acushnet's Apple Peach Festival returns this weekend. Here's everything you need to know.

ACUSHNET -- Acushnet will be commemorating its 42nd Apple Peach Festival on Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10 with its traditional festivities including food, music, crafts and entertainment.

This long-standing celebration will once again give thanks to the coming of the fall harvest. There will be freshly-picked produce, homemade peach, apple and custard pies and pastries to market, as well as a variety of homemade foods including Chorizo Sandwiches and the The Candy Apple - celebrating 50 years.

Located at the Long Plain Museum at 1203 Main St., this time-honored festival celebrates Acushnet’s love of the fall harvest. Since 1979, local farmers have gathered to sell apples (and later peaches) in Acushnet. The two-day event attracts up to 4,000 people honoring these juicy fruits.

The festival, which was canceled the last two years due to COVID, also features local food vendors, live music, entertainment, police and fire department demonstrations, art & crafts tables and a parade.

Two fun-filled days will be full of entertainment, crafts, and of course food. Here are the details.
