House Three Thirty and the LeBron James Family Foundation will present the red-carpet premiere of “Escaping Ohio” Dec. 13, a film written, directed and starring Akron native Jessica Michael Davis.

Set in Akron, it’s a coming-of-age film that explores the relationship between two friends — Sam and JJ — as they deal with change in their lives in the summer after high school graduation.

One is resigned to the fact they have a path already laid out for them while the other seeks to learn what life offers beyond Ohio.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the screening begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for this special event cost $10 and can be purchased online.

The movie also stars Collin Kelly-Sordelet, Emily Bergl, and Adam Pascal.

In May, House Three Thirty hosted the red-carpet premiere for "Shooting Stars," the movie about LeBron James and his St. Vincent-St. Mary High School teammates.
