American Banjo Museum hosts Lucas Ross’ Banjo Farm
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The American Banjo Museum will be hosting Lucas Ross’ Banjo Farm on June 29 in Oklahoma City.
Admission is free for kids 15 and under and half price for adults. Doors open at 11 a.m. with events going until 3 p.m.
The Lucas Ross’ Banjo Farm Live Show will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Upstairs Event Room with it running again at 2:15 p.m.
Lucas Ross will feature his unique comedy and music performance for families which includes puppets, audience participation, original songs, and banjo performing. After the show the audience will have the chance to build and decorate their own unique paper banjos to take home.
Following the first show will be a ‘Youth Showcase’ at 1:30 p.m. where performers between the ages of 12 and 14 will take the stage.
Workshops, crafts, and hands-on music opportunities will take place throughout the day including:
Oklahoma Opry’s Instrument Choral — kids get a hands-on chance to play different kinds of instruments. (11 a.m. until 3 p.m.)
Beginner Banjo Workshops – museum volunteers will guide participants in basic
banjo playing and skills. (11 a.m. until 3 p.m.)Free Face Painting from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Metro Family Magazine’s Craft Corner from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
