Area Happenings: 'The Nutcracker,' Millersburg Christmas Parade

Loudonville Art Exhibition, through Saturday, Loudonville Public Library, 122 E. Main St. The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District Art Club students showcase their creative efforts by inviting the community to admire their work.

Ashland University Jazz Orchestra and Alumni Concert, 7:30 p.m. Thursday,  Hugo Young Theatre of the Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Churches around the world have adopted the practice of having a Blue Christmas or a Longest Night service, providing space for prayer, reflection, and remembrance.
