Ashland County trick or treat nights are not all on Halloween: Check our list before you go

With Halloween just around the corner, it's time for the residents of Ashland County to prepare for the adorable baby costumes, glamorous princesses, crime-fighting superheroes and the oh-so-creepy creatures to come out.

But many residents are wondering, when is trick or treat night in their areas? Here is a list of when Ashland County will be celebrating the spook night.

Ashland Trick or Treat is Oct. 26 5-7 p.m. Rain or shine. According to its website, trick-or-treating in the city of Ashland has occurred every year on the Thursday before/of Halloween. This is to prevent any kind of conflict that Friday night high school football may have. The city also opts to have the event between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to protect children from potential harm due to drivers not seeing the trick or treaters at night.

Downtown Ashland Costume Capers Trick or Treat is Oct. 31 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Ashland Main Street.

Loudonville Trick or Treat is on Oct. 28 with Downtown Trick or Treat 5-6 p.m. while residential areas 6-7 p.m. Along with the trick-or-treat festivities, Loudonville will also host its annual Halloween parade, which will step off at the Budd school and make its way down Main Street. It will end at the Street Fair building located on North Water Street. Line up for the parade starts at 3:30 with step off at 4. A costume contest will take place at the Fair Event Center on North Water Street immediately following the parade.

Jeromesville Trick or Treat is Oct. 26 6-7 p.m.

Polk Trick or Treat Oct. 31 6-7:30 p.m.

Village of Hayesville Trick or Treat is Oct. 26 6-7 p.m. The firehouse will also be offering refreshments after the event ends.

Savannah Trick or Treat is Oct. 26 6-7 p.m.

Bailey Lakes Trick or Treat is Oct. 26 6-7:30 p.m.

Mifflin Trick or Treat is Oct. 26t6-7 p.m. with an after party at Saint Michael Lutheran Church.

Cinnamon Lake Trick or Treat is Oct. 28 3-6 p.m. The event will feature golf cart and costume parade as well as Jack-O-Lantern competition, face painting, family games, pumpkin painting, and hayrides. Prizes for best decorated "trunk" and costumes.
