Bela Padilla: "Apple of My Eye" is not about me
13 Feb – Although there is a similarity between Bela Padilla and Apple - the female character she created for the new digital movie, "Apple of My Eye", the actress stated that the story was not influenced by her life at all.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who co-produced and co-wrote the movie, which stars Marco Gumabao and Krystal Reyes, shared that she relates to Apple as they are both people who are not interested in technology.
"I would say I am pretty traditional like her. I like writing. So that's just the similarity we have to the whole story, but not the situation or the story itself," she said.
As to how she came about writing for a digital movie, Padilla said that she pitched the story during a meeting with the digital team.
"After the concept pitch was approved, I just wrote it," she said.
Padilla said she wants to change people's view of digital movies with her stories.
"Digital movies can offer a lot of things. Sometimes love stories don't have to be so complicated. It can be light and simple, a feel good story," she said.
