SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — CLUE: This long-time host of ‘Jeopardy!’ is now honored with a United States Postal Service ‘Forever Stamp.’

ANSWER: Who is Alex Trebek?

That’s right, the beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek will be honored with a “Forever Stamp” to celebrate his legacy and the show’s 60th Diamond Celebration.

The sheet of 20 identical stamps resembles the array of video monitors that make up the ‘Jeopardy!’ game board. Written on each stamp is the prompt “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons.’ Underneath, written upside down, is the correct response: “Who is Alex Trebek?”

Trekbek became the legendary game show host of Jeopardy beginning in 1984. He served as the host of the popular quiz show until his death from pancreatic cancer in 2020. The show has since been hosted by Mike Richards, “Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik, and long-time Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings.

Currently, Jennings serves as the sole host of the quiz show.

Forever Stamps can be used at any time for one-ounce letters, regardless of when they were purchased. The stamps cover the cost of mailing a one-ounce letter, even if the rate for mailing the letter increases after buying the stamps.

Previous Forever Stamps have honored the likes of former First Lady Betty Ford, legendary NCAA coach John Wooden, and the Underground Railroad.

Presales for the special Alex Trebek stamp begin on Friday, June 21 at usps.com.
