Amid ongoing divorce rumors, Ben Affleck has made some rare comments about his relationship with Jennifer Lopez—and apparently, life with a superstar like J.Lo hasn't always been easy to manage for the famously private actor.

During an appearance on Kevin Hart's Hart to Heart podcast, Affleck opened up about how his life changed after he married Lopez in 2022. For one thing, Affleck suddenly found himself getting a lot more attention than he was used to.

"She’s so famous, and she creates this—people love her," he said. "And she really represents something important to people."

Affleck then recounted a time when he, Lopez, his children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, and her children, Emme and Max, went to a play in New York City.

“We get out of the car, we were going to a play, and I was like, ‘Fuck it, babe, we’re going to be late, we gotta walk a block and a half.’ [Lopez] was like, ‘Alright,’ she didn’t say shit,” he said.

As soon as J.Lo was spotted, they found themselves surrounded. “We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the shit was like fuckin’ bananas,'“ he went on. "I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ There was a lady, she was smoking weed, in a full purple skintight suit—she’s a heavy lady—and she starts running backwards filming, going ‘J-LO!!’ Like a herald. Then gets everyone else, they're all tourists, whatever, just moving. Then I'm moving. We got, like, our five kids, me and Jen, and it's, it's like, it feels like hundreds of people and now screaming.”

For Affleck, this level of attention hasn't always been easy to handle. Elsewhere in the podcast, he even explained that it had led to his so-called "bitch face".

“I also don't like a lot of attention,” he said. “This why people see me [and] they're like, ‘Well, this dude always mad…’ Because somebody has their camera and sticking to my face.”

He added that he's particularly protective of his children. “I don't mind you taking my picture about a club, a premiere, whatever. My wife, I don't give a fuck. Go ahead. Knock yourself out. I don't notice you,” he said. “My children, that's a different thing.”

Affleck's comments come amid a series of rumors suggesting that he and Lopez may be headed for divorce. Earlier this month, the pair reportedly "kept their distance" at Affleck's son's graduation. The pair are known to be selling their Beverly Hills mansion.
