Billy Baldwin supports his wife Chynna Phillips' devotion to Christianity despite both agreeing it has affected their marriage.

Earlier this month, the Wilson Phillips singer, 55, released a video on her YouTube channel where she was joined by her husband, 60.

Their conversation, titled “We Had A Rough Heart to Heart," was posted to Phillip's California Preachin’ channel, where she describes herself as a "Jesus influencer."

In the video, Baldwin said that despite recent headlines about his wife’s faith causing a “rupture” in their relationship, the two are still going strong.

Both Baldwin and Phillips admitted they went through a six-month separation period, with Phillips calling it “an absolute untruth” that they were in a “lousy relationship.” Baldwin agreed, saying they "worked it out."

In the video, Phillips admitted that since dedicating her life to Christ, she could tell that she and her husband aren’t always on the same page.

“Sometimes that tends to cause ruptures and little chasms in our relationship, and we are trying our best to navigate those differences,” Phillips said. “The Christianity aspect has been sort of a glaring issue for a while because [religion] has sort of overtaken my life in many ways. It has perhaps even made you question whether you and I can really make it in the long run.”

“You would never divorce me, but would we be able to stay truly happy and connected and thrive with me being on this trajectory — this Jesus trajectory?” she asked her spouse.

Baldwin answered by claiming Phillips had a "fantasy” of the two of them following in the footsteps of Jim and Tammy Faye [Bakker] — American televangelists who spent time in prison following sex and financial scandals associated with their ministry.

Before he could continue with his theory, Phillips interjected: “OK, that is so a story that you told yourself.”

Baldwin then acknowledged that they are in different places in their faith, with her farther along than he is.

"It hasn't been become sort of the partnership that you've been yearning or hoping for," he told his wife. "But I still absolutely love you, absolutely adore you, and completely support you. That's why I'm sitting here now. That's why we go to church together. That's why we pray together. That's why we talk about faith together, That's why I do this stuff for you ... It's because I'm a supportive, loving husband who adores his wife wants to spend the rest of my life with you, no question."

"I just want you to begin your journey, your faith journey," Phillips replied.

The 25-minute video ended with the couple praying with one another, and explaining that they were excited to do more together as empty nesters now that their three children had moved out of the home.
