A reporter was met with an unexpected co-host right before going on the air.

In a video posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday, June 4, a bird was seen attempting to land on NewsNation Washington correspondent Kellie Meyer's just before a live broadcast outside the White House.

“Oh my god,” Meyer gasped after the bird stood on her hair before crouching down slightly.

As the animal fluttered away, the journalist was left startled while trying to compose herself. Turning around and looking back at the camera, Meyer giggled multiple times as she assured the crew that she was "okay."

The broadcaster then tried to stifle her laughter as she donned a straight face before her broadcast.
