Blueface has been sentenced to up to five years for shooting a man outside a Las Vegas strip club last year.

The incident occurred in October 2022 and the rapper, né Johnathan Jamall Porter, pleaded guilty to the charges in July 2023. On Monday (Oct. 2), Judge Kathleen Delaney handed the rapper a suspended sentence of 24-60 months.

During the sentencing, the victim, Kentabius Traylor, expressed his dissatisfaction with how the case was handled. “First of all, I want to start of by saying thank you, judge. I’m just completely disappointed in this complete process actually,” he began. “From the D.A., to just representation, to him, to everything, it’s just all been a complete drop of the ball. I have completely lost faith in the justice system. Yeah, this crime has done nothing but take a toll on my life since the day it happened.”

He continued, saying he feels the sentence was not long enough compared to other people’s consequences. “I haven’t been able to get work. Everything has gone down the drain… I know people who get more time for stealing bubble gum honestly. I know people who get more time for stealing TVs than shooting somebody. I’m just completely disappointed in all of this,” he said.

According to docs obtained by KLAS about the incident, Traylor made a joke about Blueface “speaking with some females in a cheap vehicle” outside of Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club.

“[The victim] was attempting to leave in his truck after the fight and stated the males may have thought he was ‘going for a gun’ and started shooting at him in his truck,” the documents read. Porter was arrested in November 2022 outside Lol-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles in Las Vegas.

Over the summer, Delaney accepted a plea deal, which included a probation-only sentence, his attorneys Kristina Wildeveld and Lisa Rasmussen said at the time. The plea deal lowered the charges to “battery and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure.” Initially, prosecutors charged Porter with attempted murder, according to 8 News Now.
