Well, we were promised a big surprise when Thomas returned to The Bold and the Beautiful, and it looks like they weren’t kidding! Because when a fan shared a teaser of next week’s episodes, the image for Tuesday contained something we would never have guessed happening on our own.

We’re not sure what viewing guide the fan was watching from, but Tuesday’s episode preview contained one heck of a shocker! It’s not that Thomas is back. We knew that was happening today. And it isn’t that he’s with Douglas. The surprise is that Paris is in the photo with the two of them! And just like that, we guess we finally got our answer as to where she’s been: Paris!
It’s a bit on the nose, but hey, we’re just glad to see her again. But the internet sleuths didn’t stop there.

As some noted when they blew up the preview photo, Paris has got one heck of a rock on her finger. Atkinson promised his character would return with a “shocking” change and putting it all together, fans were quick to guess that it’s that he and Paris are now together!
Actually, they went farther than that, because with that ring, as soaper410 put it: “They appear to be engaged.”

That was all just speculation right up until the end of Friday’s episode, when the show dropped a teaser for Monday. And in it, Thomas tells Hope that he and Paris are, indeed, engaged!
While it’s certainly something we weren’t expecting (mainly because we haven’t even been clear on where Paris was), it’s not entirely out of left field. Back in the day, Thomas had a crush on Paris and offered her a room at his place to stay. At the time, nothing happened as she was quick to shut him down when he made a move, saying she was with Zende.
But clearly that’s not the case anymore. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this came about — not to mention how Hope and the Forrester family at large react to it — but we will hand it to The Bold and the Beautiful for surprising us once again!
