A five-year-old Everton fan has impressed teachers and fellow pupils by dressing up as the club's gravel-voiced manager at a school sports week.

Jacob donned a bald cap and club tracksuit with ginger hair and a goatee to become Sean Dyche after he and his schoolmates were told to dress up as their favour sports star.

His mother Tia posted a picture of the costume online, which has since been viewed more than three million times.

"He told everybody in school he's famous, he's been signing autographs for his family, he's loving it."

The five-year-old Evertonian knew immediately who he wanted to go as, Tia said.

"I didn't realise he would go straight for the manager," she said.

"I said 'are you sure?' And he said, 'mum, I want to wear a bald cap.'"

To recreate Dyche's look Tia coloured in Jacob's face and eyebrows with orange makeup to recreate the manager's ginger hair, placing two bald caps ordered online over his head.

His classmates "loved it", Tia said, adding: "The teacher's told me they couldn't get over it."

"He'll probably put the outfit on again, he's loving it."

Dyche was named Premier League's manager of the month for April, having taken 13 points of a possible 18 and recorded four consecutive wins at home – without conceding a goal – that secured their survival in the top flight.

One of those wins was over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
