Brad Pitt's big budget untitled Formula One film has set its sights on a June 2025 release following Warner Bros winning the rights to handle the film domestically and internationally, Deadline reports.

This will be the sixth Apple Original Films production heading to the big screen.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Callie Cook and Javier Bardem, the film will follow Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a younger driver.

The untitled has real F1 talent in the mix, according to The Telegraph, who say the film was shot during Grand Prix weekends at real tracks and will feature custom-built cars.

Not only are they fuelling the film with real-life locations but real-life talent, with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton set to star while also serving as a producer under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.

The Telegraph also revealed that rumors are swirling about the film's budget, saying it has cost over $300 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever made.

Other producers on the film, which still doesn't have a title, include Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman under Jerry Bruckheimer Films, with Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner producing for Plan B Entertainment.

The film will be released on June 27, 2025.
