Brent Faiyaz Teases Short Film Starring Lupita Nyong’o On Instagram

Brent Faiyaz is apparently kicking off 2024 with a short film starring Lupita Nyong’o, according to Billboard.
On Thursday (Jan. 25), Faiyaz posted a caption-less photo on Instagram showing him and Nyong’o in a car, possibly on set of a music video. The two seem to be dressed to the nines in formal wear, as Faiyaz dons a black tuxedo and Nyong’o, a black gown.
Ahead of the post, the “Jackie Brown” singer washed his Instagram clean of posts, only leaving one image of him and the Us star with her tongue out.
Fans began speculating what the post could mean in his comments section.
“Bro might be in the next Black Panther movie,” one person speculated as another inquired, “Bae what you tryna say??? [I know] you ain’t with Lupita.” A third person commented, “The tongue out sitting next to Brent is a whole mood!”
According to BB, the Maryland native’s short film with Nyong’o will release some time next week, making it his first offering of the year.
Back in October, Faiyaz surprised fans with his first mixtape Larger Than Life, which featured from Missy Elliott, A$AP Rocky, Coco Jones, Babyface Ray, and more. The LP peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Nyong’o on the other hand, is gearing up for the premiere of her all-new horror flick, A Quiet Place: Day One, releasing later this year.
