"We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language," Jess Brownell told the Hollywood Reporter at the Season 3, Part 2 premiere in London on Wednesday.

She continued, “And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range.”

As you might recall, it was about a year-and-a-half between the first season premiering in December 2020...

And it was over two years until the third season dropped last month. Though, the prequel limited series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story aired last year.

So, Bridgerton fans, you can take a breather. The fourth season may not air until 2026, and it honestly sounds like it'll be worth the wait. “I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re towards the end with the writers room season, with the scripts. And I feel like it’s some of my best work and my writers room’s best work. We’ve just really gelled our collaboration, and we’re firing on all cylinders so I can’t wait for fans to see what we have," Jess told THR.

She added, that while "it's hard to say" if fans will be happy with Season 4, she believes, "There's so many different ships. I think one of the ships is going to be very, very happy."
