As tipped on social media over the past week, Black Eyed Peas principal will.i.am has enlisted Britney Spears for the new single “Mind Your Business,” the latter’s first music to emerge since her summer 2022 Elton John collaboration “Hold Me Closer.”

“I’ve been a fan, friend and supporter of Britney throughout the years,” will.i.am told CBS Mornings earlier this week. “Supporter as far as a person that goes out and listens to her music — a support as far as somebody that’s there to help champion her through her times when she was fighting for her liberation. She is an amazing person.”

This is the pair’s fourth song collaboration and first in a decade. Their biggest hit together, the 2012 track “Scream & Shout,” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart and is certified triple-platinum for U.S. sales of three million copies. will.i.am also executive-produced Spears’ 2013 album Britney Jean.

Spears is slowly returning to the spotlight following the November 2021 termination of her years-long, court-mandated conservatorship. As previously reported, her memoir The Woman in Me will be released Oct. 24 by Gallery Books.
