BTS star Jin has returned from the military and is engaging with fans via the HYBE app Weverse. Recently, his latest response on the fan community app has sparked rumors of a new album release.

BTS ARMY speculates that the oldest member of Bangtan will share details of his comeback soon. Among BTS’ seven members, Jin is the only one who did not get a chance to release his solo album before starting the mandatory military service.

The 31-year-old K-pop icon officially made his solo debut with the song “The Astronaut” before enlisting in the military. The single peaked at 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also ranked number one on the US World Chart, with over 44,000 downloads within a week of its release.

Jin teases upcoming music project on Weverse

BTS Jin recently commented on a Weverse post about the release of Jimin’s upcoming album, Muse. The Super Tuna crooner wrote, “Jimin-ah after you is me. I am going to sing too.” Billboard Hot 100 topper Jimin is releasing his second album, Muse, on July 19 at 1 p.m. KST.

Fans speculate Jin will follow in Jimin’s footsteps and drop his debut album in the summer. Jin’s post also got a response from BTS icon J-Hope, who will return from the military in October. The “On The Street” rapper replied to Jin’s comment, teasing, “Should we have a discharged (members) subunit once?” He then said, “Cheering for your solo activities through jokes.”

Meanwhile, BTS Jin recently participated in a special Festa event where he hugged thousands of fans after coming from the military. To commemorate the special occasion of his discharge, all members applied for leaves and joined the celebration, where they met Jin and posted a picture.

As a bonus, fans also got a clue about BTS’ upcoming comeback as OT7 (All True 7). As per BTS leader RM, the Grammy-nominated K-pop septet will return to the music scene in 2025 with a unique album. The report hints that the album will be a 10th-anniversary celebratory project of their 2015 creation, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (Hwayangyeonhwa).
