From historical C-drama The Double to mystery romance My Wife’s Double Life, shows with thrilling storylines will deliver new episodes. These ongoing shows fall under fantasy, romance, thrillers, and other genres to cater to varied audiences.

Here is a list of C-dramas that are releasing new episodes this week:

1. The Double (Ep 8 – 16)

The ongoing costume C-drama The Double, starring Wu Jinyan and Wang Xingyue in the lead roles, will release a total of nine episodes during this timeline. The drama tells the story of Xue Fang Fei (Wu Jinyan), the daughter of a rich and scholarly family, who is backstabbed by her own husband. After her husband leaves her to die, Jiang Li, the daughter of a minister, saves her. After unfortunate incidents lead to Jiang Li’s passing, Fang Fei borrows her name and alters her identity to seek justice and punish those who wronged her.

The Double is available to stream throughout the week on Youku.

2. My Wife’s Double Life (Ep 11 – 22)

This historical romance C-drama will release a total of 12 episodes this week. It features Tang Xiaotian and Sabrina Zhuang in the lead roles. The drama tells the story of a legendary thief who ends up marrying a strict inspector. Liu Rong (Sabrina Zhuang) is a kindly housewife during the day, but at night, she becomes a valorous thief. While trying to outsmart each other, the two fall in love.

My Wife’s Double Identity is available to stream on iQIYI and Tencent Video.

3. Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact (Ep 25 -30)

The ongoing fantasy C-drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, starring Gong Jun and Yang Mi, will release six episodes this week. The drama follows the story of Tushan Hong Hong (Yang Mi), the leader of the Tushan Fox clan, who falls for Dongfang Yue Chu (Gong Jun), a human. She saves his life and takes him under her wing, despite resistance from her clan. Soon, they start working towards establishing harmony between spirits and humans, and, eventually, the two fall in love.

Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact is available to stream throughout the week on iQIYI.

4. Just In Time (Ep 5 – 13)

This family-centric drama premiered on June 3, 2024. It is an adaptation of Jiang Li Zi’s novel “Lao Ma You Xi.” The drama tells the story of a group of women helping each other in their struggle to establish their identity and uplift each other in the process.

Xu Mengan’s (Qin Hailu) entire life is turned upside down after her husband loses his job. Furthermore, her daughter faces social stigma, and Mengan has to deal with an unwanted pregnancy. Meanwhile, her close friends and sister also face problems of their own. As they attempt to overcome life’s hurdles, they find support in each other.

Other than these dramas, Youku’s Love in the Tea Garden will release its season finale on June 6, 2024. Also, Shuang Mian Fan Hua, Take Me Home, The Last Hero, Year After Year, The Last Cook, Who Kills Him, and Nancheng Banquet will continue their weekly run.
