CAA Signs Peruvian Model and Actress Juana Burga

Juana Burga has signed with CAA. The agency will represent the Peruvian model and actress in all areas.

Burga, 32, began her modeling career in Peru, where she was born and raised, before moving to New York City. She is signed to The Lions in New York and Elite Model Management in Paris, Milan and London, among others. Burga is the first Peruvian fashion model to have walked in New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks, according to CAA.

Burga made her feature film debut in Nicolás Puenzo’s “The Unseen” in 2017 before starring as the protagonist in Peruvian filmmaker Joel Calero’s drama “La Piel Más Temida” in 2023. Next, she will co-lead in the upcoming film “They Killed Pedro,” directed by Kristian Mercado.

Burga has appeared in various magazine editorials and covers, including Vogue Paris, Vogue México, L’Official, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.

An activist, Burga founded Nuna Awaq — a project supporting Peruvian artisans and textile-makers. She is also involved in the Parley for the Oceans, a nonprofit that focuses on the protection of oceans.

Burga joins a roster of CAA clients that most recently welcomed Academy Award-winning director Justine Triet of “Anatomy of a Fall”; Academy and BAFTA Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton; Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Elizabeth Olsen; Tony Award nominee and “Challengers” actor Mike Faist; Emmy Award nominee Kit Harrington; comedian and Emmy Award-winning actor J.B. Smoove; “Westworld” co-creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan; Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly, and filmmaker and writer Margaret Zhang.
