The Mexican Secretariat of Public Security said in a series of posts on X that the baby was reunited with his family Saturday, two days after he was taken from his home. The baby, named Abdiel, was three days old when he was taken.

According to reports from El País, Excelsior and Infobae, authorities said the baby was allegedly taken by Nely Janel Ramírez, a woman hired to be a caregiver. The baby’s mother accused Ramírez of drugging her, authorities said, the outlets reported.

The baby was found in Valle del Chalco, a city in the state of Mexico inside the country, after a cooperative effort between Hidalgo and Mexico authorities.
