Chelsea Houska's 4 Kids: All About Aubree, Watson, Layne and Walker

Former 'Teen Mom 2' star Chelsea Houska welcomed her first child, daughter Aubree, in 2009

Chelsea Houska may have gotten her start as a single mom to daughter Aubree on Teen Mom 2, but the reality star has since expanded her family with husband Cole DeBoer to include three more children: Watson, Layne, and Walker.

The mom of four made her first MTV debut in 2009 on 16 and Pregnant, where she welcomed her eldest daughter with ex-boyfriend Adam Lind. She joined the Teen Mom 2 cast when the show first aired in 2011, chronicling her custody battles with Lind and her meeting — and falling in love with — DeBoer.

After 11 years of being a regular on the hit MTV series, Houska announced her exit via Instagram in 2020. She later revealed her kids' privacy was a big factor in the decision and not something she'd willingly put into the spotlight again.

"I would never go back to anything that's about my kids' personal life for sure," she told E! News. "I don't think I could do that. If something happened to be light-hearted and fun, I don't think I would say no ... I just feel like our family has gotten so much closer and we have a lot of land out here to explore."

In 2023, that light-hearted opportunity came when Houska and DeBoer debuted their own HGTV renovation show, Down Home Fab. The show follows the parents as they launch their new design business and keep up with their growing family.

Here’s everything to know about Chelsea Houska's four kids.

Aubree Skye Lind DeBoer, 14

Aubree Skye Lind DeBoer was born in South Dakota on Sept. 7, 2009 — Houska's first day as a high school senior. Lind may be her biological father, but DeBoer took an active role in raising her after he met Houska in 2014 when Aubree was 5 years old.

Much of her early childhood was captured on camera during her time on MTV, including her expressing her desire to share the same last name as her younger brother, Watson. After DeBoer and Houska held their second wedding in 2017, they did just that.

Seeing as how so many people followed Aubree's story from the start, Houska told E! News in 2023 that many Teen Mom 2 viewers were shocked to see that she's a teenager now. And when it comes to teens, her mom thinks she's the coolest.

"She's always been so confident in who she is," Houska told PEOPLE after revealing that she named her new home decor line, Aubree Says, after her eldest. "If Aubree says it's cool, then it's cool."

While Aubree isn't allowed on social media yet, she has been seen on her mom's Instagram rocking blue hair and what Houska describes as an "e-girl" style. She's also reportedly a big fan of Harry Styles.

Watson Cole DeBoer, 7

On Jan. 25, 2017, Houska and DeBoer welcomed their first child together, son Watson Cole. "Welcome to the world, sweet boy," she wrote alongside a black-and-white Instagram photo that showed just a close-up of the newborn's tiny hands.

According to Refinery29, the couple announced in a since-deleted blog post that they were expecting a new baby in July 2016. "We are beyond excited for this journey and can’t wait to share it with you all," Houska wrote. "Big sister Aubree is also extremely excited and it’s no secret that she is hoping for a girl...”

Houska and DeBoer tied the knot in October 2016, and a few months later, Watson came along. Houska detailed in another since-deleted blog post that DeBoer was a proud dad. "He’s already planning his future hunting and fishing trips, haha!" she wrote.

On her Instagram, Houska frequently describes her son as a sweet-natured kid who loves to play soccer and shares a birthday with his youngest sister, Walker June. "Walker reminds me so much of Watson when he was a toddler so it just makes sense that they were born on the same day," she wrote in an Instagram caption celebrating their shared birthday. "Both are observant, quiet (most of the time) and so dang smart!"

Watson also enjoys spending time with his dad. DeBoer posted a TikTok in 2022 of his son practicing his golf swing and shared a video on Instagram in 2021 of him attempting a workout regime: DeBoer wrote, "He said 'dad you go feed the animals and I’m going to workout.' "

Layne Ettie DeBoer, 5

Houska's second daughter, Layne Ettie DeBoer was born on Aug. 29, 2018 — Houska's 27th birthday. The new addition to the DeBoer clan was documented on Teen Mom 2 and showed the reality star's emotional reaction when she went into labor and realized she and her daughter were going to share the same birthday.

“Did you do this on purpose so I could have her on my birthday?” she asked DeBoer. He nodded and replied: “Yeah! It’s a good gift ... Gonna be just as amazing as you are.”

In 2019, Houska told E! News that Layne had adopted some of her husband's personality traits. "I feel like [baby Layne] is like Cole," she said. "She's very laid back. She's easy, she's smiley, she's chill, very chill."

Even though she might be chill, it looks like Layne gets herself into her fair share of messes. On her Instagram, Houska describes her daughter as a funny "wild child" who "loves back tickles, sushi and animals." One 2023 Instagram post included a zoomed-in video of Layne's face covered in some sort of pink goop.

DeBoer seems to have predicted the similarities between Layne and Houska. In a 2022 Instagram post celebrating their shared birthdays, he called Layne Houska's "clone" and said that she is "so amazing just like her beautiful momma."

Walker June DeBoer, 3

Walker June DeBoer was born on the same day as her older brother Watson: Jan. 25, 2021. Houska announced the birth via Instagram and said that Walker "surprised" the family with her due date. Her husband shared on his account that his daughter stole his heart immediately.

"I always wanted to be a Father. I never would have guessed I would be blessed and gifted 4 beautiful children," DeBoer wrote in another Instagram post. "Blessed with our new baby girl. She has a daddy who will love her with all his heart and then some."

Houska shared similar sentiments on her own Instagram after Walker's birth. "What a life we have built," she wrote alongside a hospital selfie with her newborn and her husband.

On the mother of four's Instagram page, Walker is often seen helping out in the family's garden, hanging with their farm animals and trying to keep up with her older siblings. Whether or not it's the shared birthday, Houska says her youngest is a lot like her older brother.

"These two share a bday, have the same low key personalities and are little twinnies in looks," she wrote on an Instagram post celebrating Watson's fifth birthday and Walker's first. "Love them SO MUCH."
