Chick-fil-A's got a new chicken sandwich: The 'Honey Pepper Pimento'

Looking for another reason to line up down the side of a highway for some fast food? We've got one for you:

On Monday, August 28, Chick-fil-A will be launching the new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich.

And — with ingredients never used before in a Chick-fil-A entrée — you can bet the crispy clucker will have the right lane of Route 10 backed up from Morris Plains to Dover.

What's on Chick-fil-A's Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich?

In an August 15 announcement, Chick-fil-A said the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich would feature a crispy chicken filet, custom-made pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños on a "warm, toasted bun" drizzled with honey.

A fall seasonal offering, the company says the sandwich "combines classic Chick-fil-A flavors with a sweet and subtly spicy kick."

According to its creator chef Stuart Tracy, "The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich uses ingredients and flavors our guests have never experienced at Chick-fil-A before," namely the pimento cheese and jalapeños.

When (and how long) will the sandwich be available?

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will be available beginning on Monday, August 28, and will stay on the menu throughout fall.

Where can I get the Chick-fil-A Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich?

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will be available nationwide at all Chick-fil-A locations.

(Except for Hawaii. Because the Aloha State already has enough good things going for it, we guess).

Is pimento cheese even a fall thing?

Chick-fil-A says it is. So, yeah.

Will Chick-fil-A launch any other 'fall' items?

In addition to the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A will serve a Caramel Crumble Milkshake for the fall months. The shake will include caramel, butterscotch and blondie crumbles, and is meant to be an ode to the "cozy flavors of the fall" (a seasonal association that — since we eat a ton of sticky goodies around Thanksgiving and Halloween — checks out).

How long will I have to wait in line for the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich?

Whether the line is down the driveway, the highway or the parkway, we're betting on twelve minutes.
