Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce earn nominations at Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024

The awards and accomplishments have been plenty for Patrick Mahomes in his career. However, the Kansas City Chiefs franchise quarterback does have a chance next month to win an honor that has eluded him for years.
Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are nominated for Favorite Male Sports Star at this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The duo will be facing off for the top prize in the category alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, and Stephen Curry.
Mahomes is no stranger to the show after being nominated for the same award in each of the last four years. Kelce is nominated for the first time and could be the one to deny Mahomes the honor of Favorite Male Sports Star again. The award was established in 2020, and the reigning Super Bowl MVP has yet to take home a Nickelodeon blimp.
SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will Host Live on Saturday, July 13, at 7 p.m. CT and simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT, and MTV2.
The kids-controlled award show will be the summer’s biggest party as it is transported to Bikini Bottom. This year’s show will feature fun celebrity collaborations and stunts as Nickelodeon celebrates SpongeBob SquarePants’ special birthday.
