Christopher Nolan is still fond of the Peloton, even after an instructor jokingly made fun of his movie Tenet during a workout session.

After Nolan won the 2024 Golden Globe award for best director for Oppenheimer — which went on to win five awards total Sunday night — the filmmaker was asked backstage whether the humorous incident changed his opinion about using the exercise bike and its arsenal of virtual classes.

“Nothing but love for the Peloton, but I did not climb on it today, this is true," Nolan said, per a video of the press conference shared by Deadline. Nolan as well as his wife and Oppenheimer producing partner, Emma Thomas, and the film's cast all appeared to laugh at the question.

"I think I might just skip it for a little while, but thank you for your concern,” the director added.

Nolan first shared the bizarre bit of film criticism last Wednesday during the New York Film Critics Circle Awards Gala, when he revealed that he happened to be taking a Peloton class when the instructor criticized one of his movies. That movie turned out to be Tenet, his 2020 mind-bending action thriller starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson.

"I was on my Peloton. I’m dying. And the instructor started talking about one of my films and said, ‘Did anyone see this? That’s a couple hours of my life I’ll never get back again!' " Nolan said while accepting the best director award, according to Variety.

Social media users then unearthed a video of instructor Sherman, circa December 2020, stating she found the movie confusing while playing music from the film.

Sherman herself shared a response to the story soon after it caught the internet's attention, stating in a video that the coincidence "would only happen to me."

“Listen, it was 2020. It was a dark time. I’m up on the platform teaching my little class and I’m running my mouth off, like I’m known to do. And I make a random comment about a movie I had seen the night before,” she said on Instagram. “What do you think the odds are that the director of said movie would take that ride some four years later?"

“So here’s what I want to say. I may not have understood a minute of what the hell was going on in Tenet, that s--- went right over my head. But I have seen Oppenheimer twice and that’s six hours of my life that I don’t ever want to give back,” she added.

Sherman ultimately invited Nolan to join her for a Peloton class in the company's studio that she promised will prove "insult-free."
