Cirque du Soleil will return to the DCU Center in January for six performances of its show "OVO."

The Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil ("Circus of the Sun") has brought several shows to the DCU Center since first visiting with "Delirium" in 2006.

"OVO," which was first performed in Montreal in 2009, is described as "a colorful intrusion into a new day in the life of insects, a non-stop riot of energy and movement," including crickets bouncing off trampolines and a hypnotic spider contorting inside her web.

With 100 people from 25 different countries, "OVO" (“egg” in Portuguese) brings to the stage "high-level acrobatic acts redefining the limits of the human body."

"OVO" will be performed at the DCU Center Jan. 9 to 12. Tickets are currently available online exclusively to Club Cirque members. To subscribe, visit cirqueclub.com. Tickets will go on sale to the general public June 10 at cirquedusoleil.com/ovo.
