Longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek of is being memorialized with a special stamp.

On Friday's episode of the iconic gameshow, host Ken Jennings announced that the U.S. Postal Service will issue a Forever stamp honoring the late, beloved former host, who died in 2020 at 80.

The stamp coincides with the show's 60th Diamond Celebration that was launched earlier this year to celebrate the legacy of America's Favorite Quiz Show.

"I'm excited to announce that the next icon to receive a stamp will be our very own Alex Trebek," Jennings said before showing off the stamp. He added that "the stamp will be officially released on July 22, on what would have been Alex's 84th birthday."

In true Jeopardy fashion, the page features a grid of 20 stamps, made up to look like the show's gameboard. All of the stamps feature the clue, "This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show Jeopardy for 37 seasons," with the answer "Who is Alex Trebek?" written underneath, upside down.

Trebek, who was born in Sudbury, Canada, began working in the United States in 1973 and became a naturalized citizen in 1998. He started hosting Jeopardy in 1984.

The page also features relevant category headers that appear at the top of each column of stamps, and a photo of Trebek on set on the left side of the page. The new postage can be viewed in the clip above from Jeopardy's Twitter account.

The postage may not be going on sale officially until July, but presales for this special stamp begin Friday at usps.com. Additionally, fans who live in the Los Angeles area can attend the first-day-of-issue event for the Alex Trebek stamp at the Sony Pictures Studios lot, where the show is taped. The event, which is free and open to the public, will also be attended by Secretary of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Postal Service Michael Elston, Jennings, and Trebek's widow, Jean.
