Stiles Switch BBQ recalls rock legend, barbecue lover Dave Grohl's visit to Austin

If anyone didn’t know, legendary musician Dave Grohl is a huge fan of barbecue.

The Foo Fighters founder owns a one-man catering company called Backbeat BBQ and spent more than 24 hours cooking meat for people at a Los Angeles homeless shelter in February.

And according to Stiles Switch BBQ’s Instagram page, he’s a fan of Austin barbecue, too.

The restaurant posted an undated photo Thursday of Grohl posing and smiling with two employees. Owner Catherine Stiles said the photo is from a year or two ago.

“Happy @aclfestival Eve y’all! On any given day. On any given night, you never know who will walk thru these doors because we live in the greatest most magical city in the world,” the restaurant posted on its Instagram page Thursday night. A picture shows Grohl smiling and posing with two Stiles Switch employees.

“Live Music is alive and well y’all! Welcome back to #AustinTexas Dave Grohl,” the post continues.

Grohl is slated for a sit-down interview with podcast host and best-selling author Brené Brown on Friday at 6:10 p.m.
