Donald Trump Calls Hillary Clinton a 'Bigot': 'She's Going to Do Nothing for African-Americans'

Donald Trump's latest attack on Hillary Clinton may be his boldest yet.

At a Wednesday rally in Jackson, Mississippi, the 70-year-old GOP nominee beefed up his efforts to put a dent in Clinton's lead among minority voters, labeling her a "bigot" who cares only about votes.

"Hillary Clinton is a bigot who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future," the 70-year-old GOP nominee yelled out at a Wednesday rally in Jackson, Mississippi.

"She's going to do nothing for African-Americans, she's going to do nothing for the Hispanics. She's only going to take care of herself, her husband, her consultants, her donors. These are the people she cares about."

The statement comes as Trump finds himself trailing the Democratic nominee among minority voters by an overwhelming percentage. A recent NBC News poll showed that only 8 percent of African-American voters support Trump while 87 percent favor 68-year-old Clinton. Clinton leads Trump among Hispanic voters and Asian Americans by more than 45 percent.

Clinton brushed off Trump's comments, telling CNN that the business mogul is "taking a hate movement mainstream."

"He is bringing it to our communities and our country," Clinton said. "And someone who has questioned the citizenship of the first African-American president, who has courted white supremacists, who has been sued for housing discrimination against communities of color, who has attacked a judge for his Mexican heritage and promised a mass deportation force, is someone who is very much peddling bigotry and prejudice and paranoia."

Trump's Wednesday comments are the latest in his new effort to appeal to non-white voters. At a Minnesota rally last week, Trump urged African-Americans to vote for him, saying, "What do you have to lose?"

"Look, what do you have to lose? You're living in poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs," he said. "Fifty-eight percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?"
