Dutch Wonderland announces new entertainment in time for Summer
LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Dutch Wonderland is launching its largest entertainment experience expansion for Summer Entertainment since 2019.
“This season, we are introducing our largest lineup of summer entertainment in the past five years,” said General Manager Megan Hartman. “As the World’s Best Family Park, we continue to add more options during all of our seasonal events that offer experiences fit for the whole family.”
The new experiences include Duke’s Birthday Bash, Storytime with Royal Friends, Dine with Duke & Friends, a Pop Up Play Starring You and Dragon’s Fire BBQ & Brews.
At Duke’s Birthday Bash from June 16-22 the park will celebrate Duke the Dragon’s birthday with bubble dance parties, singing, stilt walking, and juggling workshops. On Thursday, June 20 there will be 1,000 cupcakes from Oregon Dairy and a confetti cannon.
Storytime will be held throughout the summer in Storytime Corner with special royal characters leading the event.
The Pop Up Play Starring You will begin June 17. Kids will get to become part of a fairytale every day during Duke’s birthday week at the Celebration Theater.
Dutch Wonderland is opening a new beer garden for adult visitors to enjoy next to the fun slide which will feature local brews and outdoor seating. The area will be called “Dragon’s Fire BBQ & Brews”.
Duke’s Lagoon is also open daily from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. for the summer. The water playground has multiple levels, slides and interactive features. There are two large water slides in the playground. Cabanas with lounge chairs, a dining table and an aerial fan.
