Dutch Wonderland dive shows set to return for the season

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Dutch Wonderland’s dive show is about to start up again for the season.

Performers dive into a nine-foot pool and the highest platform is 65 feet up. The staff used a radar gun to determine the divers can fall at 55 miles an hour.

“Here we actually get to splash the crowd on purpose,” diver Juan Marcano said. “There you actually get to like see the reaction of the crowd and really like feed off of it. That’s one of the the most fun part is just soaking the crowd and getting them kind of involved in it, too.”

An abc27 reporter had a front-row seat for one of the practice dives. Let’s just say they did not stay dry.
