Dwyane Wade on Crashing Into Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Courtside: ‘I Do Owe Them Some Vodka’

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade ended his NBA career on a high note earlier this week, not only by scoring 30 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, but also be helping create an unforgettable Internet meme with one of America’s favorite couples.

The 37-year-old athlete paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (April 12), where he reacted to a hilarious photo of himself falling into John Legend and Chrissy Teigen during his final home game with the Miami Heat on April 9.

In the photo, Wade is laser focused on his fadeaway shot, while Legend and Teigen are getting drenched by their cocktails. The photo prompted dozens of fans to create hilarious memes of social media.

“Luckily they’re friends, but I do owe them some vodka,” Wade told Fallon, laughing. “The ball went in and out, so I was really focused. When I turned around and seen who it was, I was like, oh my goodness. I couldn’t believe it was them.”

Legend and Teigen weren’t bothered by the crash. The R&B star took it in stride, tweeting a video of himself directly after, wiping his beverage from his face. “Still got my drank,” he captioned the clip.
