Eddie Murphy Revealed if His Kids Have Seen His Most Iconic Films in a Super-Rare Interview

While Eddie Murphy is the proud papa of 10 children, he’s quite private about fatherhood. He opts to keep them out of the spotlight, and when he talks about his children, fans get excited for all the rare details.

In a super-rare interview with EOnline, Murphy revealed that yes, every single one of his kids has seen nearly every one of his greatest family-friendly films. While it’s not a shocker that eight of his eldest children have seen his films, we are delighted to hear that his and Paige Butcher’s young children have seen quite a few of his films.

“My kids are all grown-ups now, except three of them,” he said at the Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F premiere in Beverly Hills on June 20. “The two little ones that are 5 and 8, all they’ve seen is Shrek and Mulan—and little pieces of Coming to America.”

However, does it end there? Nope, Murphy also said, “Doctor Doolittle they’ve seen, and Daddy Daycare is next.”

We truly love these films, and it must be so cool to see their dad voice some iconic characters like Mushu in Mulan and Donkey in the Shrek films!

For those who don’t know, Murphy has ten children in total. He shares his eldest son Eric, born on July 10, 1989, with then-girlfriend Paulette McNeely. He also has a son named Christian, born on Nov 29, 1990, with Tamara Hood.

He then welcomed five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy named Bria born on Nov 18, 1989, Miles Mitchell, born on Nov 7, 1992, Shayne Audra, born on Oct 10, 1994, Zola Ivy, born on Dec 24, 1999, and Bella Zahra, born on Jan 29, 2002.

In April 2007, he welcomed a daughter named Angel Iris with Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B.

Fast forward a bit, and he and his current fiancée Paige Butcher: a daughter named Izzy Oona, born on May 3, 2016, and a son named Max Charles, born on Nov 30, 2018.
