Widely known for his role as Dr. Ethan Choi for eight seasons in NBC’s popular Dick Wolf medical drama “Chicago Med,” Brian recently returned to the series to direct an episode for its current season.

“It was not necessarily an easy yes,” he told Variety in 2023 about returning to helm an episode. “I’m sure there’s a bit of a hesitation. But I think everyone has known that I’ve been wanting to do this. It wasn’t just something new, out of the blue. It’s been something I’ve been working toward.”

Tee’s additional television credits include “Mortal Kombat: Legacy 2,” “Crash,” “Grimm,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD,” “Lucifer,” “ZOO” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

On the big screen, Tee has appeared in hits including director Justin Lin’s first “The Fast and the Furious” entry “Tokyo Drift,” where Tee played D.K. The Drift King. Other roles include Shredder in Michael Bay’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” as well as credits in “The Wolverine” and “Jurassic World.” Additional films include “We Were Soldiers,” “Finishing the Game,” “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” “Fun With Dick and Jane,” “One Christmas Eve” and “The Gabby Douglas Story.”

Tee is also set to produce the anthology limited series “The Scapegoat.” The project is currently being shopped around to streamers and premium cablers. Season 1, titled “Tokyo Rose,” will adapt the Mike Weedall historical novel, “Iva, The True Story of Tokyo Rose.” It will tell the story of Iva Toguri, who was wrongfully convicted of treason and sent to prison for being an infamous radio propagandist during World War II.

On stage, he starred as the lead in “Snow Falling on Cedars” at the Hartford Stage.

Tee continues to be represented by Behr Abramson Levy Johnson and Shelter PR.
