Extras needed in Farrell for TV show

Jun. 21—FARRELL — Movie extras are needed for the lights, cameras and action again Saturday morning in Farrell.

Youngstown TV producer Michael Anthony Forney is returning to Farrell to shoot new scenes for his TV show, "Why Me?"

"The city of Farrell has been kind enough to allow me access again to the municipal building," Forney said.

A new scene will be shot using Farrell police department's holding cells, he said.

This is part of the show's grittiness which features crime along with psychological twists and turns.

Forney shot a scene in the municipal building's council chambers in May 2023. He transformed the room into a courtroom for the trial of a man accused of fatally shooting another man in a shop.

But he wants to re-shoot that scene.

"I want to give it a tighter look," Forney said. "And there a couple things I want to add and take away."

The extras being sought won't be paid. But they will be rewarded with being seen in the show.

All ages are invited and no special attire is needed. Videoing begins at 8 a.m.

"We're really excited about this," Shawn Anderson, Farrell's city manager, said.
