Fashion Merchandising students at Adrian College stage student-led fashion show
ADRIAN — Student models “walked the runway” Wednesday, March 27, when students enrolled in Adrian College’s Fashion Merchandising program staged a fashion show titled “Manifest the Runway.”
The free, public event was held in the Mahan Center for Art and Interior Design’s Hickman Gallery main entrance and served as a representation of what current students interpret as what’s new and upcoming in the world of fashion.
Themes in the fashion show included Red Carpet, A Day in Life, Love Story, Sports in Fashion, Motherland and 7 Sins, which depicts outfits related to the cardinal sins.
Adrian College's Fashion Merchandising students had to source their own garments for Wednesday's show by going to thrift stores or borrowing pieces from friends, Adrian College previously announced.

The title of the fashion show was based on Adrian College’s student-created fashion magazine, “Manifest.”
“We can ‘manifest’ a lot of different things in our life,” Vincent Yu, Adrian College assistant professor of fashion merchandising said in a news release. “So, the runway just took over the name and we call it ‘Manifest the Runway.’”
