Former Bemidji State professor Carol Ann Russell to hold poetry reading

Mar. 21—DETROIT LAKES — The Detroit Lakes Public Library will host Carol Ann Russell for a poetry reading at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at the library, 1000 Washington Ave.

She will be reading selected poems from her four published poetry collections, "The Red Envelope," "Feast," "Silver Dollar" and "Gypsy Taxi."

Russell is a Detroit Lakes High School alumnus and a Bemidji State University English professor emerita. She was a Resident Poet at the American Academy in Rome, Italy, and is a member of the Oxford University Round Table.

This Women's History Month celebration is free and open to the public, a release said.
