Fox’s ‘The Four’ Crowns Season One Winner

(Spoiler alert: Please do not read on if you haven’t watched Thursday’s finale of “The Four: Battle for Stardom”)

Just hours after the show was renewed for Season 2, the first winner of Fox’s hit singing competition “The Four: Battle for Stardom” was crowned.

It had come down to finalists Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady, Evvie McKinney and Zhavia — but in the end, Memphis native McKinney was victorious.

The three rounds on Thursday’s finale included an in-studio audience vote, after which they got to choose who they competed against in Round 2.

McKinney got a head start with her powerful rendition of “Proud Mary,” then chose to go head-to-head with Zhavia.

Performances of “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Glory” sealed the deal, as McKinney was named the first “Four” champion. She also won a record deal with Republic Records and the title of an iHeartMedia “On The Verge” Artist.

Hosted by Fergie, “The Four” sees contestants guided by music giants Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Kahled, Meghan Trainor and Republic Records.

Former panelist and Republic Records Group president Charlie Walk recently excited the show following accusations of sexual harassment by a former employee. He has said the accusations against him are unfounded.

Season 2 of “The Four” will premiere this summer on Fox.
