Ilana Glazer is married to a hot molecular biologist named David Rooklin, and it's well past time that we did a deep dive on their relationship. Go ahead and file this one under (1) extremely cute vibes, and (2) "why haven't I fallen in love with anyone all the times I've spent lurking in Washington Square Park?" (It's a special new category we just made up, you'll understand in a moment.)

This also happens to be right around when they started dating, which we know thanks to Ilana mentioning they'd been together "five years this month" during an interview with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest in June 2017:
"He's also in science so he doesn't really know comedy," Ilana recalled. "He reads papers and knows how to read and I'm like 'cool, like showing off to me that you finished a paper.' We met in Washington Square Park and we just made just made eyes and we were like, 'Damn.'"

We get our first mention of David in a New Yorker profile, when writer Nick Paumgarten notes that Ilana has a boyfriend but chooses to live with her roommate, Matt Stopera. Ahem:
"Glazer and Stopera both have boyfriends but prefer to live with each other. Glazer’s is named David Rooklin; he is a scientist doing postdoctoral work in molecular modeling at NYU."
Nick Paumgarten goes on to describe him as a "trim clean-cut white man in his thirties, with glasses," wearing "green cords, green sneakers, and a blue crewneck." David even gives a quote for the article, saying, "By going to see their live shows over the years, I’ve gotten an idea of the core facet of their movement. If you remove the divide between performer and audience, you have something else. It’s like a collaboration."

Ilana announces that she's pregnant in an interview with Entertainment Weekly while doing promotion for False Positive—a spin on Rosemary's Baby. As she puts it re: the timing of it all, "This was not supposed to happen this way, but it's just so eerie and cosmically funny that it has."
Ilana adds that she's had "amazing role models for pregnancy and parenthood" to lean on, saying, "I'm not afraid to ask a billion questions. There are certain trends in society of how pregnancy should look—the shoulda coulda wouldas that are put on women all the time but are so amplified in pregnancy. I'm specifically seeking out the most spiritually healthy and welcoming experience."
