Geneva Co. native Shane Owens to play Dothan United’s first halftime show

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Wiregrass fans at the upcoming Dothan United Match will get to see a familiar face during the season’s first halftime show

Owens will perform the halftime show during the upcoming match on Wednesday, June 19. Dothan United will face USL2 South Central Division rivals East Atlanta. The game’s first kick is set for 7:00 p.m.

Over the years, the Geneva native has racked up several accolades, including being named in the “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone Country and was Music Row Magazine’s Independent Artist of the Year in 2018.

Owen’s music has appeared on Netflix’s hit series The Ranch, and in 2017, stood before the masses and played in the hall of country music legends, the Grand Ole Opry.
