What Happened to Tay Tawan? GMMTV Shares Thai Actor’s Health Update

GMMTV has shared a health update on the popular Thai actor Tay Tawan Vihokratana. Earlier this year, the star performed at the Polca Time Traveling Concert alongside his Cherry Magic co-star, New Thitipoom Techa-apaikhun. Following that, Tay made appearances at several events. Most recently, the actor was seen at the GMMTV Outing 2024.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, GMMTV announced in a statement that Tay Tawan had suddenly fallen ill and “is currently staying in the hospital to receive treatment following medical advice.” Furthermore, the statement that all of the actor’s scheduled work has now been postponed.
Following the announcement, fans Tay rushed to the comments and social media to pour in well wishes for the actor’s speedy recovery. The news is notably worrying because Tay’s health update comes after another GMMTV artist, Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat, has been battling health issues. The actor previously withdrew from the Love Out Loud Fan Fest 2024. As per the recent update, Chimon Wachirawit has also withdrawn from GMMTV Fanday 12 in Japan.
New Thitipoom replaces Tay Tawan for upcoming event
Tay Tawan was previously scheduled to attend the Sensodyne Fun Check Make Sure event on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. However, GMMTV has shared that New Thitipoom will now attend the event in Tay’s place.
In other news, Tay Tawan has joined the cast of Scarlet Heart Thailand. The upcoming drama is the Thai adaptation of Tong Hua’s popular novel Bu Bu Jing Xin (Scarlet Heart). At the forefront of the series are Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn and Tu Tontawan Tantivejakul. As the project was revealed at the GMMTV2024 Up&Above Part2, it is expected to begin filming sometime this year.
