Otto will play Eshbaal, Son of Saul and Ahinoam, brother of Mychal, Jonathan and Mirab. He is a good-looking pretty boy who uses his looks and status to much aplomb, taking nothing seriously that he cannot drink or flirt with. However, if he is confronted or struck by a real threat, he instantly folds & expects his mother to clean up the mess, proving to be a coward beneath it all.

Otto joins previously announced cast Michael Iskander as David, Ali Suliman (Jack Ryan) as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer (Angels And Demons) as Queen Ahinoam, Saul’s trusted wife, Stephen Lang (Avatar: The Way of Water) as Samuel, and Martyn Ford (Mortal Kombat 2) as Goliath; Alexander Uloom, Indy Lewis (Industry) as Mychal and Yali Topol Margalith (Tattooist of Auschwitz) as Mirab, Saul’s daughters; Ethan Kai as Jonathan (The Turkish Detective), Saul’s son and heir apparent; Oded Fehr (Star Trek) as Abner, Saul’s advisor; Louis Ferreira (Shogun) as Jesse, David’s father; Davood Ghadami (Eastenders) as Eliab, David’s eldest brother and decorated warrior in King Saul’s army; and Ashraf Barhom (Tyrant) as Doeg, a mysterious Edomite.

House of David is based on an idea by Jon Erwin. Erwin, Jonathan Walker, Jon Gunn, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes, and Mike Frislev are executive producers. Dallas Jenkins, the creator and producer-director of The Chosen, is a key shareholder and special advisor to The Wonder Project. Justin Rosenblatt will serve as the executive in charge of production on behalf of The Wonder Project. House of David is produced by Nomadic Pictures and Argonauts, along with Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Television.

With a background in London theatre, Otto went on to play the male lead in BAFTA-nominated Channel 4/Nat Geo drama The State. He can currently be seen in post-apocalyptic drama series Snowpiercer as John Osweiller, which is set to premiere its fourth season. Also a gifted pianist and singer, Otto’s music also is featured in Snowpiercer. His cover of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson’s “Winter Song” was featured in season 2 of Snowpiercer and his original music will be featured in the upcoming final seaso. Most recently, Otto performed onstage in London’s West End alongside Zachary Quinto in James Graham’s Olivier Award-nominated and Critics’ Circle Theatre Award-winning play Best of Enemies.
