Ice Spice Crowns Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday’ As Her “GOAT Album”

Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj have collaborated on two of the biggest songs this year, “Princess Diana” and “Barbie World.” The Bronx rapper showed love to the self-proclaimed Queen by crowning her Pink Friday LP as the “GOAT Album.”
The “Munch” rapper and her go-to producer RIOTUSA appeared on Complex’s GOAT Talk on Monday (Oct. 16) and spoke on what they would call the “greatest of all-time” in a variety of categories. When it came time to discuss albums, Spice immediately spoke up for RIOT and said his GOAT album was Kanye West’s 2007 LP Graduation. RIOT agreed, and then she asked him what was her pick.
RIOT said Pink Friday with some hesitation, and the 2023 VMAs Best New Artist happily agreed. Elsewhere in the conversation, she said that “Win Again” from Minaj’s 2014 album The Pinkprint was her GOAT song. RIOT selected “Barbie World,” unsurprisingly given the fact he produced the record. Ice Spice has had a stellar rookie campaign beyond working with Nicki Minaj twice. She joined Taylor Swift on “Karma” from her May release Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) and recently tapped into her Afropop bag alongside Rema on her latest single “Pretty Girl.”
The 23-year-old performed that record and her 2022 single “In Ha Mood” this past weekend as she made her musical debut on Saturday Night Live. She got a major co-sign in the form of Swift introducing her to the live audience right before she performed “Pretty Girl.”
One of Ice Spice’s biggest moments came in collaborating with Dunkin’ Donuts for the limited edition Munchkins drink. She appeared alongside Ben Affleck in the promotional trailer and raved about the opportunity to partner with the popular brand. “I’ve always been a Dunkin’ girl!” she said. “Collaborating with Dunkin’ and Ben Affleck on this spot was a dream. The drink has a fun twist, a little something in the name for my fans, too. I can’t wait for everyone to try it.” Check out the trailer below.
