'I'm not gonna take it': Sailor Brinkley-Cook defends herself after backlash over N95 mask

Sailor Brinkley-Cook continues to battle her critics via social media.

Christie Brinkley's 21-year-old daughter, who replaced her on "Dancing With the Stars" in September after the "National Lampoon's Vacation" actress broke her arm, received heat after being photographed wearing an N95 mask.

Brinkley-Cook, who is following in her mom's modeling footsteps, said she was the recipient of vitriol.

"I think it's really (expletive) that people take time out of their day to write to me to tell me I'm ugly, I'm fat, I'm useless, I should get a job, I'm a waste of space, I'm a disgrace," she said. "And, I've been getting them a lot recently, and I don't know whether it's being cooped up in your houses (that's) making you really want to tear down a 21-year-old, but I just gotta say, you know, have some humanity, y'all.

"Like, I'm a person, I have feelings, and I'm lucky because I've dealt with this (expletive) my entire life," she continued. "So, I can now understand that I have more pity for you guys than hatred for myself, based off of what you guys are saying. But yeah, I just want y'all to know that I'm not gonna take it."

Brinkley-Cook encouraged her critics to put their energy toward something positive, instead of spending their time hassling her.

Brinkley-Cook previously addressed her mask specifically in an expired Instagram Stories post, according to People and E! News.

"My mom is an artist and does projects that require her to wear a mask..." she wrote, per the outlets. "We didn't buy them upon hearing about the spread of COVID-19. She kept one mask for each one of our family members and then donated the rest to local hospitals."
