Before Donald Trump won the election in 2016, Ivanka Trump enjoyed the storied Manhattan socialite lifestyle filled with front-row seats at fashion shows, Hollywood parties, and friendships with famous names that everyone would recognize. That all ended once her father entered the White House and she and husband Jared Kushner became senior aides — no one in their former starry world wanted to touch them.

The tide might be changing now that one A-list celebrity, who wields quite a bit of influence, invited Ivanka to her 43rd birthday party. Yep, Kim Kardashian. And Kim wasn’t hiding Ivanka at all… there she was in a glittery white two-piece set, standing right next to the birthday girl in red and on the opposite side of Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez. (See the photo HERE.) That’s quite a social glow-up considering she was persona non grata just a year ago.

Fans have to remember that the women share a personal connection when it comes to Donald Trump’s administration, so there is a history here. It was Ivanka and Kushner who helped facilitate Kim’s well-covered meeting with Donald Trump in 2018 to talk about prison reform. It eventually led to the release of Alice Johnson, who was pardoned by the then-president. So, this might be a way of Kim thanking Ivanka for advancing her cause by welcoming her with open arms back into Hollywood.

However, Ivanka has quite a few challenges ahead, thanks to her father’s legal issues. While she managed to wiggle her way out as a defendant in the New York business fraud case, she is expected to testify about the inner workings of the Trump Organization against Donald Trump and her brothers, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. But journalist Tina Brown thinks Ivanka and Jared will be just fine. In 2021, she told Town & Country magazine, “There is a myth around that Jared and Ivanka will be rejected socially. The rich are never rejected — until they go to prison or lose their money.” Ivanka seems to be avoiding both of those fates.
