Jack Harlow, Dave Take Over London In New “Stop Giving Me Advice” Video

Jack Harlow went across the pond for his latest collaboration. On Friday (Dec. 8), the 25-year-old talent teamed up with British rapper Dave to present “Stop Giving Me Advice.” The song marks a major preview from Lyrical Lemonade’s highly anticipated upcoming album, All Is Yellow, arriving January 26, 2024.

It’s accompanying music video was created by head honcho Cole Bennett. The smooth visual takes place in London and plays into the album’s cohesive theme, as it features a black and white aesthetic that is only intentionally interrupted by specific yellow elements.

On the song, the Kentucky spitter sets the tone with his bars about not wanting guidance from peers who aren’t on his level. “All this unsolicited advice from the guys gettin’ booked for a quarter of my price/ All this red carpet sh*t, brand partnerships, I must’ve let y’all forget that boy nice,” he raps.

Harlow shared the new release on Instagram with the caption, “For my brother @colebennett.” The popular director made sure to show his mutual gratitude, commenting back, “love you so much dammit.”

On the latter half of the record, Dave finds his pocket and delivers impressive bars over the somber, guitar-led instrumental. “Death row, you n**gas down to your last meal/ You ever signed a seven-figure deal and the birds quill?/ Can’t even call it breakfast, ‘cah it wasn’t your first mill’/ Forgotten birthdays, but remember your verse still, yeah,” he spits.

In regards to his own releases, the “What’s Poppin'” artist recently dropped off his own chart-topping hit. His latest single, “Lovin On Me,” grabbed the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated the week of Dec. 2). This marked his third time hitting No. 1 — following “First Class” from April-May 2022 and “Industry Baby” with Lil Nas X from October 2021. Revisit the music video below.
